History of the Computer Science Department

The Department of Computer Science was started in 1996. The purpose of this department to give the education of computer literature and higher education in computer subject for Taluka place and rural area students.

Departmental Activities

• Teaching- learning and Evaluation be are the routine activities of the department
• As for co-curricular activities department arranges guest lecturers of experts and group discussion of the student.
• Department provides updated teaching notes for the students for the better understanding at the bringing of academic year department arrange “Library hours” for all classes.
• Department also provides old question papers of university examination for the semester examination practice.
• In the academic year, 2010-11 department organized workshops in the month of November for College Lecturers on Computer Fundamental.
• Our Department’s Lecturer Mr. Kulkarni M.K. declare one prize that student who score the maximum aggregate Computer Science subject marks in the third year. The Prize is of 201 Rupees.
• The Prize is given to the student in Sanstha Level Scholar Students Programme.
• The Department helps to College Lecturers for Internet access for their different Problems that are related to research and syllabus points.
• Department provides Internet Access to all F.Y.S.Y.& T.Y. Students for their creating E-Mail Accounts, searching syllabus points and reading news Papers for improvement of their current Knowledge. A register is maintained by the department for such type of access to the students.
• MS-CIT Online Examination
  These examinations are of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE). From June 2007 to Oct 2012 this examination taken by the department in every 3 months. But after Oct 2012 these examination is taken by the department in every month.

• IIT Mumbai (spoken Tutorial) Workshops & Online Tests
  Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and IIT Mumbai collaborate some free courses under Spoken Tutorial. According to guideline by our university department arrange some workshops and Online TESTs for students and teachers which are listed below.

• AV Room
  Department conducted period on the LCD projector. Another thing is that B.Sc.S.Y. IV semester’s all period and some period of B.Sc.T.Y. I have taken using Audio Visual method in the department.
• In the year 4 Wallpapers presentation
  Since June 2013 College has decided to publish four wallpaper in one academic year i.e. 15th Aug, 17th Sept, 20th Dec and 26th Jan. This activity compulsory to all department of the college and they were published common in AV Room. Before this department publishes some wallpaper in every year at Department. Department chooses recent topics with the help of students like Digital India, E-learning, E-commerce, Net Banking etc.

• Use of N- List software by the students of the department.
  Department has all student with computer literacy and they have their own E-mail IDs. So department created a login of N-List Library software and also demonstrate them how to search and download books from N-List with the help of Library of our College.

• Guest lecturers
  Department arranges guest lecturer two in every academic year. In which department call experts nearest to our college to give lecturer on topics which is essential to a student like a syllabus topic or topic which is using them for the carrier. Topics covered syllabus are Digital Electronics, Networking, Software Engineering etc.
  Topic covered other then syllabus is Software Testing, Embedded System, Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.

• IIT Mumbai Online Competitive Examination At Taluka Level
  Department Conduct on occasion of “Golden Jubli” year of established of our sankul “ShriSiddheshwarVidyalya” we conduct One Competitive online Examination on 2nd Oct 2015 at Taluka Level on topic “Programming in C”. 45 students participate to this completive exam. Prices are announced i.e. for first Rs. 1500 and Medal for second Rs. 1000 and Medal and for third Rs. 500 and Medal. On completion of this exam, the department is happy to say that all three rank students are in our department and all are girl students. Miss Tangade – First, Miss Bavane – Second and Miss Gawarkar – Third.
